This will only be worn Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Appropriate school shoes are to be worn.
Key Stage 2 Assessments
Please see the attached information about Key Stage 2 Assessments
Our P.E. days this term are Monday and Wednesday. Please make sure your child comes into school wearing their P.E. kit on these days. This consists of black shorts/tracksuit, red T-shirt and trainers.
Children are expected to read every night and for extended periods of time, choosing a wide variety of text types from school and home. Please encourage your child to discuss the book orally, as reading activities will be completed in school. Page numbers read are required in their reading records, ready to share back in the classroom the following day.
Children will be using a spelling scheme following the national curriculum recommended word list for Year 5 and 6. Initially children will be given 10 spellings, however these will be reduced if needed. Spelling tests will take place on Fridays. Separate interventions will cover any gaps in children’s spellings.
